The secret is over, we have a new name! During the Fall of 2006 we will transition from Maranatha Baptist Church to Mill Road Baptist Church! For over 20 years we've felt like the best kept secret in town. People have difficulty spelling, pronouncing and understanding our name. Most residents are not sure of our location. Our new name says it all and everyone can say it!

The original name of Maranatha was chosen before the Church had selected a community in which to build. Maranatha means Lord Come and refers to the return of Christ which could be at any moment. But, over the years we fear the name has been a source of confusion. We want Kingston residents to understand our name, our beliefs, and our concern for the spiritual well being of our neighbors.

The people are the same, the building is the same, and the love for our community is still the same. We just have a new name to assure everyone we want them to feel comfortable in joining us.
